Moritz Grossmann presents the BENU 37 and the ATUM 37

Small pieces with big personalities

Created for those who like smaller timepieces on their wrist, the slender cases of the BENU 37 and the ATUM 37 are inspired by their larger cousins. They have the poise and balance of their lineage, but they have a confidence and swagger all their own.

BENU 37

The rhomboid shape of the hands immediately identifies this watch as BENU, even in this smaller format. They are annealed to our signature brown-violet hue and they point to strongly drawn, curved brown-violet Arabic numerals. The solid silver dial provides a sharp contrast and gives excellent legibility. The minute scale features the familiar BENU train-tracks.  These, combined with super-fine-tipped hands enable precise time reading – or for those that can’t tear their eyes away, it is possible to see the minute hand sweeping slowly but clearly through each minute.

ATUM 37

The ATUM 37 also masters its smaller proportions with style. The same colour scheme of argenté-coloured solid-silver dial, brown-violet numerals and like-coloured, spear-shaped ATUM hands gives this watch the same assured look as the BENU 37. Elegant Roman numerals give this timepiece classic appeal. The fine tips of the hands once again mark the inexorable passage of the minute hand against the same charcoal train-tracks. And just as in the full-sized ATUM, the subsidiary seconds dial is recessed al at 6 o’clock and accentuated with a crisp, polished chamfer.

Calibre 102.1

The BENU 37 and the ATUM 37 are powered by the manufacture calibre 102.1. This movement, with a graceful diameter of 26 mm and a height of merely 4 mm, has the classic 2/3 plate architecture. It relies on an asymmetric-arm escapement and a modified adjuster, both developed explicitly for this movement size. The display back reveals the typical Grossmann hallmarks and the High-Artistic finish.
